REFURB presented to municipalities in the Greater Copenhagen Region

40 participants from Danish municipalities, municipal utility companies and university scientists were on March 21 2018 introduced to the REFURB toolbox and lessons learned by Peter Rathje, REFURB-partner and Managing Director of the ProjectZero Company, Sonderborg. In his presentation, Peter discussed also how municipalities can catalyze and fuel the ‘REFURB Customer Journey’, especially during the initial steps – and as part of the local storytelling, to assist a continued customer journey.

The Municipal role was also stressed by Christian Peter Ibsen, Managing director of the Danish think-tank, CONCITO. Christian Peter Ibsen was focused on the need to act now, due to increasing climate change and the importance of support from central government, as part of the new Danish energy bill – to be political discussed and agreed during the spring 2018.

The municipal participants supported the concept of municipalities playing important roles in establishing a stronger local Customer Journey.

University scientists from University of Copenhagen and the Denmark Technical University presented academic studies of citizens response to different approaches to homeowner-invitations to retrofit their buildings.

The Danish Gate21 Network hosted the energy efficiency seminar, which had its major focus on energy retrofit of the private homes.
